My parents were gifted a chair that was hand carved. It was beautiful.

The wood and workmanship are amazing. I'm not sure of the chair, for me anyway, but the desk (assuming that's what it is) is quite lovely. Clearly though, this piece is primarily for admiring as the functionality is somewhat limited.

The wood is beautiful.  I'm a person who loves unpainted wood.

When we built our house (years ago), I went in and as the carpenters put up the trim around the windows and frames around the doors, etc, I stained each thing BEFORE they put it up.

It's still like that today.  It adds a lot to the feel of the rooms.

Is that @lolakimono yours?  Tell me the story behind this, please?  I'm curious.

@Annabellethecat66

It's gorgeous, but it's not mine.

I follow a page on FB- Art & Art Magazine, and Garik Ghazaryan is one of the photographers that sometimes pops up.

I wonder what will happen when your 300lb Uncle Fred plops himself in that chair?

The set is more a piece of sculpture than an item meant for practical use.  It's beautiful... I want to touch it.
