Oh My @Puggywuggy, that will be an undertaking with elderly parents and animals to boot. Do not envy anyone undertaking moves such as yourself and @wagirl. My best to both of you.

We live north of Seattle and closer to the Canadian border here in Western Washington. A far cry from SoCal, but right for us. Cheers.

@nwbabs Thank you...I will be glad when the actual move is behind us! We will be southwest of Seattle so it will be a huge change from our very dry desert region, that's for sure. ❤️

Glad to hear you & your daughter found a place that is more convenient for her.  I don't need to give you any packing tips!

I hear ya' about moving.  Since 2019, I have also moved too many times.  From NY to Delaware, then to a larger apt in my complex, then back to NY at the end of 2024 and in September I bought a condo and moved again. 

I also had a storage unit when I came back to NY as I went from a 2 bedroom with free storage to a 1 bedroom.  For about a year I paid $130 per month for barely a closet size unit.  Thank goodness I have shelves in my garage.  I got rid of "stuff" again and no longer need that extra expense.

I'm glad you have volunteers to help you.  Put them to work!  Otherwise, call me.  I'll fly out to help.

Wow ... Not many people talk about moving to Montesano.   

I love the name '"Montesano", which was derived from Spanish meaning "mountain of health".

All that rain will be so healthy for your skin after the dry desert weather.

So yesterday was the big day and your daughter finally got to go inside the new apartment?  Exciting!!!

@Puggywuggy --oh sure, I know where that is altho have not been there. That is kind of a warmer part of western WA--it gets a little hotter on our hot days. Today it will get very windy and rainy--got a short and fast wind event going thru from the south---predicting some power outages this afternoon--of course!! why not?? It's Xmas Eve!!

@roeroe1005 --I have not moved from state to state----just around my area near Seattle but still a royal pain. There is a small storage space at the new place that we will prob rent and then the bigger one for my current amount of stuff, nearby,  that I will go thru in the spring and really pare thru it. We got the keys last night and DD finally saw the place--she was very happy with it all. So now we can do the planning and make like sheepherders  get the flock outta here😁

@juanitalinda --YES, we did!!!!!!! DD was really happy with it too-- we took measurements and I found out all the appliances are brand new---and now can get to planning our move. Will enjoy these xmas days and then put it in the packing gear and start the process!! Happy/merry to you too🌲🎅🏼
