Re: Am I the only one who actually enjoys doing laundry?

I think it is very satisfying! It is not hard to do at all and who doesn't love clean, fresh clothes???

If only all household chores were as easy!!!! If someone could completely take over dusting and windows for me --- I'd be one happy camper!!!!

I don't love it but I don't hate it. I do like ironing tho. When I was a kid, the Jetsons was a popular cartoon for kids and I was fascinated by the machine that washed, dried, ironed and folded the laundry. It came out in a nice neat stack. Why has that machine not been invented yet? It would be worth every penny! Oh well, maybe when we get flying cars!

YES, you're the only one! LOL!

I hate having to touch dirty clothes, hate having to lug heavy basket down - & climbing back - the stairs, hate having to find enough quarters to do it, hate waiting for other people to finish using the machines, hate having to fold all the towels & sort socks, etc. when done. I have arthritis & am almost 64 & it is a 3 hr process. So I do it once a month or less (I have a lot of towels & underwear!).

Re: Am I the only one who actually enjoys doing laundry?

I like doing laundry, don't know if I love it, but do it almost every day so even though I have tons of underwear, I could probably survive with three, ha, ha. I go to the laundromat only for giant down comforters. I take a book and plan to be there all day. My washer and dryer are on the patio as it never rains here and doesn't get too cold. Even in LA, I rented an old house and the washer and dryer were outside. Lugging a lot of stuff to the laundromat is no fun so I'm glad to have a washer and dryer at my house anywhere.

I love doing laundry. I like doing it at home and I like going to the laundromat when an appliance is down at home.

But then I like housework in general. I love to cook, clean, do dishes, decorate, and homemake in general. I get real satisfaction when things are clean, organized, and spiffy. I like the actual process of doing it most of the time too.

I'm with you. I also enjoy cleaning my house. The only thing I do not like to do is cook. If I was rich, I would hire a cook. Side bar: I used to do a lot of cooking and enjoyed it; however, my dh of 20 years is a meat and potatoes man and it's no longer fun. It took me years to get him to eat anything green. LOL !

Doing laundry is easy when you own a washer and dryer. It's lugging clothes to a laundramat that's a challenge.
