So many people seem to complain about doing laundry but I enjoy it! Getting all the clothes clean and organized is kind of fun to me. Am I the only one?

I also love it. I enjoy going in my laundry room by myself and doing the wash. Folding also. It gives me time to chill out if I am stressed and also some alone time to just think. I had a friend who loved to go in the garden and weed for the same reasons. Just to be alone and think, while doing something at the same time.

Hey, I do. It is probably my favorite household chore. When we vacation I volunteer to do everyone's laundry. I hang dry a lot of the clothes as I don't like wrinkles. About 10 years ago I bought a very high end washer and dryer. It cleans well, but is the pits for leaving the laundry wrinkled.

i don't mind doing the laundry when we are at home - I kinda feel like the OP - i enjoy having everything fresh and available to wear. BUT when we go to Pa for the summer and I have to use the campground laundramat - OMG - I HATE DOING THE LAUNDRY!!!! For one thing - half the washers do a terrible job - the water doesn't get very hot - everything comes out grey and dingy. It is a lot of work for an unsatisfactory result.Going into town to the laundry isn't any better either. I was begging DH for a washer and dryer in our shed at camp but he says it isn't possible because he doesn't know how we would exhaust the sewage.Bummer. To his defense - he does help me with the laundry when we are there.

I do understsand the need to be alone and chill out. When I worked as a dental hygienist, I loved being able to go into the dark room to develop x-rays. It was totally black, quiet, and so peaceful...a little piece of heaven amidst the chaos of the dental office's hectic schedule. Then they went and got digital x-rays so you don't need a dark room anymore...so I retired. (Just joking.)

Yes, I admit to enjoying doing the laundry. The part I don't like is putting everything away.
