In U.K. we do mix and match patterns for dishes/napkins, etc., especially for summer eating though I try to stick to somewhat of a central theme - say all shades of blues/white, greens, etc. otherwise it can be overwhelming but always great fun and different.  Like doing this.

Just looking at this table setting makes me hungry and happily enjoying a pleasureable summer evening meals with friends!  We can contemplate soon - I hope!

I love the colors.  At first glance it seemed busy but when I think of it on a table in a room or outside I think it would be quite striking.

I would prefer a  light blue solid table cloth but I still love this setting.  The plates remind me of plates I have that my mother used to put out in the fifties at our summer home.  They look like melons and are more like dessert bowls.

  This setting is a very summery look, just lovely!
