Re: Active Adult/over 55 communities. Pros/cons?

@tansy I don't know. I know she inherited her independant living condo - her parents lived there for a few years before they passed away and the last few months of her father's life she was living there with him. When he died it went to her & her brother & the brother, who should be sainted for all he does for her, signed over his portion to her so she could continue to live there. It has been an especially good situation for her as she can be as independant as possible while also getting all the care she needs when she needs it. I've never known anyone with MS who does as well as she does and I would say the constant watching her and caring for her has a lot to do with it.

@Zhillswrote:

Sometimes, it is not "what you say" but the way that you say it!

You protrayed them just short of a "snake pit."

No I didn't.

That was someone who disagreed with me and put words in my mouth that I never said. If you don't agree with me, that's ok; but resorting to charachter assasination is a sure sign you're "losing" the argument, if that's all you can think of as a response.

Interesting about the proliferation of HOAs. They actually are not the norm where I live, but then I also don't want to live in a new development. LOL. They are found more in the unincorporated areas and periphery of the city limits where the population is spreading.
