I've always liked accent walls done in paint or grass cloth is beautiful and gives wonderful texture.  I don't think grass cloth would be advisable if the owner had a cat!

Grass cloth brings a whisper of nature in.

My oldest DD has a blue accent wall in her bedroom with the remaining walls being white.  It looks very much like picture #3 that you posted.  Youngest DD has a hot pink accent wall in what used to be her playroom.

I have a bright cheery yellow accent wall in my living room. I love them too

In the seventies when my sister and I had our apartments we had accent walls.  She had a brown color like the first picture and I chose a dark blue like the walls in the bedroom picture.  The rest of our respective apartment walls were white.

I loved the look and at the time not many people did accent walls.  Seeing these pictures I still find the accent walls appealing but have not done any room in that style since the seventies.

No, I don't have one. Those pictures show how lovely they look when done right.

I love all of these rooms - accent walls look really good in these pics.  Thanks for sharing.

Yes, in many rooms!

MB - Sweet Rosy Brown accent - walls and ceilings are some sort of beigy/gray/off white )I mixed left over paints together.

Bdrm2 - a turquoise accent (like the one shown above) with canvas (beigy off-white color) on other walls and ceiling.

LR - sort of like a dull copper LNL lid, more sedated though* with gray walls and white ceiling.  +hard to explain the color - I pulled it out of the brick fireplace which is opposite this wall)

Attic consists of den/office area which is Pashmina and Bdrm3 is a pale gray - again ceilings in each room match wall color; the wall separating these room is some color white, but only on the den side - so guess that counts?

Laundry room downstairs (celr) is a very deep purple c olor (tapenaude, I think) and the other  three walls are a muted orange - washer and dryer are silvery blue.

Those are the only acent walls I've done.

Sounds pretty gross, I guess, but doesn't look bad at all!Woman Wink

I did with previous redecorations but this last time around I didn't do any accent colors.  I kept it more simple this time.

They all look very nice .. but, of course, I choose pic 2.  Has the colors I love & is nice & bright.

I'm surprised at myself for liking pics 1 & 4, not usual color choices I'd go for.  Whomever designed these, used great contrasting furniture & pops of color choices.

No, I have no accent walls, but none of my rooms is white either.
