About the Sleep Number adjustable beds

I want to ask those of you that have the King size adjustable sleep number beds how you like the split type? We have ordered that one and I wonder about the sheets for the split ones,seems they are more expensive to buy. Guess I'm having second thoughts on getting that one over the one that isn't split? Could I use regular (king)sheets on the split if we only raised the head of the bed the same on both sides just a little? (I know this seems like a dumb question) I also wondered if you have to use California king on the king size bed for the stretch? I hope you understand what I'm saying. I feel confused....sorry.
