AN UNLIKELY SOURCE FOR WALL ART?

I don't go looking for wall art these days, and would be much more likely to thrift it, as I see lots of desirable, reasonably-priced old prints while thrifting and antiquing.

However, Target online, of all places, has some nice deals, esp. in their Threshold collection.  For about six months, I've drooled over this art photograph print.  It was taken of the wild, foggy Oregon coast, near Florence, Oregon:

Here it is, shown in a room, so you can get an idea of how nice and big it is:

Well, I ordered it, should be here by Friday.  EVEN though many customers reported flaws in the frame, etc.  I expect to get a problematic one, but finally decided we'll just return it to our nearest Target if we have to.  It's worth the risk to me--  for some reason, I just love it, the wildness and 'misty-ness', even though it's not a black-and-white photography print which is my favorite.

And hubby says he might be able to salvage it if we get a bad one, so.....

Other art prints there I like:

Other appealing collections at Target --  in addition to Threshold with Studio McGee, there's "Project 62" which is their midcentury modern line, and "Opalhouse" which is their sort of boho, arty, tropical line.

As a lover of midcentury modern, I like the chunky "Project 62" canister line called "Tilley":

And this other midcentury one, I think it's called "Genesis":

Here's a marble-topped "Project 62" midcentury table:

And the "Opalhouse" line, the tropical one, has these adorable blue and white leopard bookends.  I love their little feline faces:

Are they not the cutest?   I have too many bookends myself, but what a darling and useful gift these would make:

Those are some lovely pieces.  We just visited our son last night.  He had redone a bathroom.  He had 2 pieces of art on the wall - they were framed pictures or drawings of blue feathers - one different blue feather in each one.  It looked really  nice.  I think he said he got them at Target.

Target does a good job with home decorative accessories. I always see things I like. Their kitchen department has some good items as well.

Target is not my store of choice but I know they do have good home decor and housewares departments.  I especially love that Oregon coastline print!!!

The seascape is just beautiful!  I love that type of art, ocean scenes.  Target is one of the stores I enjoy going to whether I buy or browse, it has variety .  I plan to make a trip very soon, take my time and check out the home decor and whatever else catches my eye.

Oznell, thanks for the pictures and I am sure your art work will look lovely in your home.

What a lovely print.  Target offers so many attractive products and is such a pleasant place to shop.  We order mail deliveries from them and have been pleased with their efficient service.

I actually know Florence Oregon.  I have a friend who lives in Depoe Bay.  That's a really nice picture.

The bookends remind me of Herend pieces.  Also very nice!

That expedition would be a rare treat indeed, @ECBG !

Herend!   Bingo, @Lucky Charm ,  I wondered what those leopards vaguely reminded me of, but you are right!   A sort of matte, contemporary, *very* budget-minded version of the Herend animals!
