Love the Beach Glass paint color, with the off white trim. All the colors are complimentary, throughout. It's got me thinking --- I could use a change.

This home looks so comfortable, one well lived in and enjoyed. It's my preferred vibe; lovely things, but toned down for everyday living and relaxation. Happy Doodles seal the deal.

It's not exactly my style but I love the colors and it's a good combination of texture and prints.

I like all of it.  Uncluttered, open, relaxed.  Love the paint colors. The dogs are perfection!  Don't like it when designers cram the living spaces with "stuff."

Re: AIRY LIVING ROOM

[ Edited ]

This has to be one of my favorites! There's nothing I don't love here. These are the colors I use in my own home except for the wall color and I love that

too. It has kind of a neutral vibe with little pops of color here and there which  I think keeps it cozy but not cluttered. I think there is a fine line between cozy and cluttered and this one nailed it!

I love the points people have made about this room!

Oh, boy, that's a tough one, @sligo .   I haven't really any experience with leather.  Do you have pets?   Am wondering if leather would take too much of a beating from them?  "The Inspired Room" has her dogs on the leather, and I wondered about that...

Of course, I absolutely love the look and feeling of warm, natural leather in a room.  I personally like a "broken in" kind of distressed look to it, but not "shredded", ha, if that makes sense.

Maybe someone else here can advise us about leather.

With our cats, I've learned over time, sadly, that there are basically two upholstery fabrics they can't really damage-- some type of microfiber, or -- my preferred textile-- a sturdy cotton velvet.  Their little claws just glide over those fabrics, and can't get a hold to snag them, thankfully!

That's exciting about your redo.  What are your other preferences for it?  Sounds like you might like to capture a little of the feeling of your New England background...

No onerous snow shoveling is a plus, however you look at it!

@Oznell   I love this room and the paint color is similar to my bedroom. Mine is probably a shade lighter. My bedding is blush pink.

The paintings of Pinky and Blueboy, that I copied from small prints of the old masters, and painted in oils, as a teenager, are framed and on the wall above my bed. They were the inspiration for my colors.

In my living room, the walls are papered in a sponged- looking design, in shades of aqua. Woodwork and fireplace are painted in Benjamin Moore "White Linen".

The windows have aqua sheer curtains and ivory

drapes. I have to have window treatments; I don't care for bare

windows.

There are three Oriental rugs, one large and two small, in  Persian Hunt design with lots of little animals and birds, and some florals. The background is navy blue and the borders are cream.

The designs are in shades of aqua, navy, peach and tan.

I love the French doors in your pictures. In my first house, I did have French doors, with fifteen little panes on each door.

Those adorable dogs are a great addition to the room.

Our Maine Coon is our living room accessory and she adds to the decor with her fur, even though she gets combed every day.

Your bedroom and living room sound gorgeous, @Enufstuff .  I always love your attention to detail, i.e., having your wall color pick up shades in your Oriental rugs--  makes for such eye-pleasing cohesiveness!  All the colors you mention would be so beautiful together.

Ah, yes, our three kitties make the decoration of our rooms complete, as well.... and what could be a cozier sight than a curled up cat, snoozing complacently.  I'm just glad that lint rollers were invented...

Pretty colors.  However, I don't understand how people can live in a house without window coverings.  It's so cold to me.  Need some softening.
