A Not Very Nice Thing to Do to a Stunning New Build...

I think this house is gorgeous. That said, were it possible for me to cancel this decorator's credentials, it would happen very, very quickly. Just awful, in my opinion and this home could have been lovely! Pat, formulaic, predictable, bland and in some instances, just plain ugly! Yes I've seen worse and perhaps if I didn't think the house so appealing my reaction wouldn't be so strong. That dining area just really sealed the deal for me. Ugh!

I like the kitchen except the lights. The first thing I thought of when I saw the kitchen was,
"my birds would love those perches." They would definitely hang out and chew those up. I also like the bedroom, but not the light fixture. I do not like the other rooms.

@stevieb Agree. Light fixtures are my bugaboo and I hate every single one of them.

@stevieb.  I concur with your opinion.  The exterior is so appealing and lovely; the interior a disaster.  That bedroom is a nightmare for sure.  Too much white and the decor just doesn't fit the period and style of the house.

The butterflies above the fireplace are beyond ugly.  That wall is the perfect focal point for a kick *ss piece of art, and instead we have those puny butterflies.

Oh, mercy.  I have to agree with you...tacky interior.

I don't think it's ugly. I like the butterflies and blue sofa in the bedroom. Kitchen and exterior are very similar.

If this is what decorators do, I could hang my shingle out as a decorator and do a 100% better job.  I had to laugh at the legs on the bench in the picture with the purple flowers; they look like deer or horses legs.

In fact I don't even like the planting in the yard of the house; nor do Iike the style of the house.

Guess this one is a good pass for me.

I would take this every time over a dark and cluttered "appropriate" interior someone might do for this house.  At least it is light, bright and inviting to me.  It seems spacious rather than cramped and closed in.

Any idea if this was just a "model" interior or this was the finished product of what the owner of the home wanted?

One thing that stands out to me is that the occupants probably don't have children OR pets.   Or house guests.

It's okay, if that's the style you like.
