I love the arrangement on the mantel. I refuse to comment on the gray everything. I'm in a state of extreme dislike.

What is modern about it? The drab lack of color? ![]()

I think you did comment!

Like the fireplace and old window, but I think it's time the neutral fad is phased out.
It's time for a brave interior designer to introduce color again.

@Foxxee I was thinking the same thing. I think the whole gray palette is beginning to look a little dated already. I just bet we are on the cusp of a swing back to warm colors. My indoor colors will soon be back in style! LOL.....just wait and see.

I like it except that I believe it is more traditional and farmhouse than modern and farmhouse. The only thing that seems dated or modern (either, as you wish) is the gray color of walls and in soft goods.
Like many others here, my gray love has worn thin but possibly unlike the others, I never liked gray. I think it reminded me of Russia's gray and China's pollution.

I like it but prefer a different color than grey, I am not a fan.

Kind of similar to other pics .. grey/white, same pattern drapes & rug. It's ok.
Thanks for sharing.

The fireplace is very pretty though I'm not liking the rug or curtains. Overall, I'll pass, as this one isn't much for me.
