Re: A FEW CHRISTMAS VIGNETTES

I love your hybrid style, @GingerHead !   The article on her house was on the House and Garden UK site.  Just do a search of the title,  "A Tranquil Wyoming Log Cabin with an Unexpected French Sophistication".

The journalist's name is Lisa Flood, and her cabin is at the foot of the Teton Pass (I think near Jackson Hole).

So glad that you found something in the thread with which you could relate!

Re: A FEW CHRISTMAS VIGNETTES

All in all such loveliness, beautiful decor and a warm cozy feeling of the holidays! I do love the print table cloth and the French country room.

I have a small tree decorated with different wildlife ornaments. At the bottom of it I have three deer. I love animals and enjoy this decor which is separate from my main tree Of course florals are a must and I have them in my living and dining rooms.

Re: A FEW CHRISTMAS VIGNETTES

I think I love the outside shot the best. How cozy can you get?

Enjoyed most of the pics-love the painting in the one room. I zoomed in on it and it looks like a farmer plowing, two horses leading. The colors in the sky are fabulous.

Thanks

@Judaline, and @deedledeedeedle , both of the things you zeroed in on, that 'glorious-sky' painting, and the stunning blue in Aerin Lauder's room, were such standouts to me too!

Some of the smallest details in these rich, varied Christmas rooms just beguile me. Zooming in is a necessity...

@Oznell@Judaline- I like that painting also. It looks like it captures a "Golden Hour" time of day (thanks to @monicakm , I just learned that term from reading her post in an unrelated discussion thread in the Beauty forum titled Stage Lighting). The glows from both the painting and the fireplace, along with the decorations, enliven that wall.

Re: A FEW CHRISTMAS VIGNETTES

I love the large wreaths on the bookcase and the blue and white vases, but so much lovely scenes I can't choose a favorite... at Christmas, I always have birds somewhere..this year, on my tree, inside my LR bookcase, and on my foyer table. I also love white flowers at Christmas...but I always go back to red for my amaryllis.

Re: A FEW CHRISTMAS VIGNETTES

Good point, @QVCisFun -- that 'double glow' does indeed enliven the wall.

Oh yes, to birds, and red and white flowers, @Trailrun23 -- I'm there with you. They bring such a freshness to Christmas...

Re: A FEW CHRISTMAS VIGNETTES

@OznellBeautiful rooms! I am wondering about the twinkling lights that are hanging on the arched opening. They are so pretty....I did look onlne but did not see anything that looked like the lights...I like that they are sparcely spaced and not so uniform.... and would love to buy a string of those lights.
