Re: 6 Tips for Creating a Kitchen Table Vignette

whitelinen--these are darling! I love creating tablescapes, and was inspired from these pictures to change up the one I have at the moment! I have a collection of various roosters in different media,--some realistic, some funky--all unusual, and a little scale like the one pictured, with handpainted designs. Thanks so much for posting these!

I have no problem with placing objects on the table--since our kitchen is tiny, we eat at the dining room table, and I plate the food before serving. (I've always done this anyway!) Confidentially, I never dust a thing either!

I'm so glad I caught up with you!--a while back you posted pic of a painted hutch, and I loved the color palette that was used (the hutch, not so much!) I think it was from Pinterest--how would I go about finding it?--my daughter was going to make a copy for me--I don't have a printer! Thanks again!

ETA--Hmm--this won't let me add my winking emoticon, after my dusting comment! What's up with that?!

So beautiful. I must confess my table only has unopened mail and a board game on it that I haven't put away yet. These ideas inspire me to do better.

Thanks for posting the pics. Lovely. I have so much fun creating vignettes for tables, kitchen counters, corners, etc. I really like the two layer basket with the bunny in the top and the bird in nest underneath.

Arrange it all artfully and everyone will think it's a vignette!

Beautiful without a doubt - alas, there are ten cats running around my house so none of these would last more than ten minutes . . . .

I really like the one with the old scales I do dust but it is so worth every cleaning when you can have something so pretty or cute. Thanks for sharing.

I also wonder - when you all make these vignettes and have them out on your mantel or tables etc - how do you dust them? I am a bit of a clean freak - having something out for 6 or more weeks collecting dust does not appeal to me at all.

Yes morning lover, between you and me i never dust a thing.

Really, that's the only snarky thing you have to throw out there??
