Without you and others sharing such interesting websites, blogs and items, this home forum would be a very dull place in my opinion. Please keep 'em coming, whitelinen!

The 5 tips for vignettes was a very good read, so thank you! I see where in some of her pics the lantern's top ring is upright and in others it is hanging down. She even mentions how the ring gives the added height she needed to make it the tallest item. I like for the rings/hangers on my lanterns to remain upright, too, but so far have had a tough time getting them to do so. I've tried small amounts of museum wax and also tried shoving toothpicks into the space that the ring fits into, then breaking them off almost even with the metal. I haven't had much luck, over a day or two before they fall again, with either method.

Anyway, just thought it was funny to notice that, and to know that I'm not alone! Any other tips appreciated.

Oh, I really like the basket/tray in her vignette.

Re: 5 Tips for Creating and Easy Vignette

Thanks for the website for the tips, whitelinen. Very pleasing to the eyes.

I bought a (at a loss of words what to call it) thingy like the one on the coffee table. The glass and wood container only mine is glass and metal. When I bought it, it has some snowmen and snow scattered in it. I placed some small red lights in it for the winter. Have been trying to come up with things for other seasons but I am challenged when it comes to that. Love the way the plain one is grouped with the pitchers and the candle holders.
