Re: 1914 LONG ISLAND COTTAGE

Love the way the first bedroom photo was staged with the PICASSO book.  Sometimes a word is worth a thousand pictures.  The mere sight or mention of Picasso's name is enough to evoke images of his paintings without even having to see them, and they are an interesting contrast to Timothy Whealon's tame medley of geometric shapes and colors in the room.

I completely missed out on the door handle, @ECBG ,  and the Picasso book, @QVCisFun !   Interesting, love detailed little observations like that....

Re: 1914 LONG ISLAND COTTAGE

The exterior of this home is beautiful and the outdoor seating area looks so peaceful and a place of comfort.

The shell pink walls are very appealing, and the blue entryway inviting and welcoming.  I also love the style and design of the living room couches.  As far as the rest of the furniture, it isn't my taste but it seems to fit this cottage.  The botanicals against the pink wall look very pretty!!  Much of the decor doesn't appeal to me.  Of course being in the Hampton's does!!!!

Re: 1914 LONG ISLAND COTTAGE

Beautiful house present, @ECBG !    We have some of the old original knobs on the upstairs doors of our 1910 cottage, but downstairs there were some horrible modern ones.  Only recently replaced them with simple, "repro" very dark bronze knobs and backplates, similar to originals.  Hardware does make a big difference...

@spiderw ,  yay, another favorable mention of shell pink walls!
