Normandy has so many beautiful old houses. This one, despite its size and age, seems like a cozy refuge for its owners against the cool, misty climate of northern France.
Here's part of the dining room/library. Except for some reason the computer won't allow me to show the part of the room with books! Having trouble loading images right now. Anyway, the room was inspired by an old reading room at Oxford. That massive stone mantel-- so atmospheric:
As you can see, bold reds and yellows are used as warming elements in damp northern France:
The fairy tale gardens were designed by the late famed landscape architect, Russell Page.
I love a white garden, a la Sissinghurst.
I do love being taken into a whole other world through rooms and gardens....

I absolutely love the exterior. It's gorgeous. I don't like the decor at all. The interior has too many victorian pieces, so does not appeal to me.

I love everything about it. I wonder if they will take monthly payments.

I love it! My taste is not that colorful, but I think this home is beautiful.

I wonder if they would take a pack of 30 and a pack of 12 toilet paper for a trade.

@Oznell -thanks for these.
I have always loved ivy everywhere though my father often pointed out how destructive ivy was to any house.
When our home owners association told me I had to remove all the ivy from the side of our townhome, I cried as if I was losing a friend.
My sil recently cut the roots to an old tree covered in ivy because it would destroy the tree. I know this is probably true but I miss looking at how pretty it was -now it is a bunch of dead leaves all up and down the tree.
I wonder what the occupants of this house think of this? They obviously are keeping their lovely ivy covering the whole front of the house.
