Thank you MaryAnne for your kind words.  This time of the year is extremely hard for me (moved away from family & losing my dad very young) as I'm sure it is for most who are separated from loved ones.

 

Both my boys (and my only niece) are extremely into "traditions" and the importance of them.  I always went overboard when they were little & always hosted every holiday for my entire

extended family.  Many fond wonderful memories.  

 

My son with my only grandchild goes a little overboard too but that's OK because the good Lord gave him a second chance in life (he is a cancer survivor) and was deemed to never father children, but, the good Lord had the hindsight to know he'd be a wonderful "dad" & that he is!  My other son is a newly wed and his wife is a wonderful woman who loves holidays as much as he does (they are 2 peas in a pod).

 

Again, thank you for sharing your beautiful decor & bringing me wonderful memories of my childhood & my boys & niece!
