Do you decorate your home for the 4th of July?  I have a wooden sign that I hang on my front door.  That's about it.  Some people go all out.  What about you?

I put out small flags along my sidewalk. That is it. They come out Memorial Day as well. I decorate myself with red white and blue and bought a 250 year 1776/2026 comemorative teeshirt this year. I have a few patriotic tees.

I bought a red white and blue metal stars wreath this year and flag bunting for my front railing.  Garden flag and flag sun catcher on a stand on my deck, red white & blue wind chimes on my patio.  I have a patriotic mat for under my front door too.  This year was even more special so I thought I'd go all out.  Outside anyway.  I'll leave it all up for the month of July.

I put little flags in my flowers/urns beside my front door for Memorial Day.

And I have a few Life Is Good patriotic t-shirts - short sleeves and long V necks.

we have house lights under the eaves- going all around the entire house. Using an app, we change the colors and patterns according to the season.  Right now the lights go from red to blue in a twinkling pattern. Looks festive. I also wrapped my little free library in red white and blue garlands.

Wreaths on the doors. Deco inside. I love to decorate for the various holidays.

I dont decorate specifically for the 4th, but i do decorate for the season from Memorial Day through Labor Day with red, white and blue accents here and there. Also with flag inspired bows on a couple wreaths plus our flag on a pole flying by the front door.

@hunt and peck - We are one of those families who go all out, BUT - our family room is decorated year round. We didn't plan that, but after we moved into this house we inherited DH's grandfather's WWI bugle. People started giving us patriotic decorations. and it kind of mushroomed from there.

We add a few things inside and out during the summer.

My ancestors on both sides came to America during the late 1800's and early 1900's. DH's ancestors on his father's side fought during the Revolutionary War. Acknowledging that and passing it down to our children is important to me.

Here is a picture of our mantel at night. Everything is Valerie Parr Hill except the clock of course!  Smiley Wink

@beach-mom   Very cool - history is so important and great to pass down to your kids.

My great grandfather - my Mom's mom's father fought in the American Civil War - his name is on the PA marker at Gettysburg.

Love your mantle - I really need to put something patriotic on mine.
