I sent candy and cards to my sister.  My daughter is at college.  I was going to ship to her a nice package of different things like candy, gift cards, maybe PJ's but I'm not having a good experience with shipping her stuff right now.  I mailed her a small box via USPS on January 6th and it was supposed to get there in 2 days.  Tracking has not moved since January 11th and is nowhere near her college.  I know weather has been bad (East Coast) but this was way ahead of that.  I'm thinking of surprising husband and taking him to his favorite steak place for dinner.  Not on Valentine's Day, but later.

@Puzzle Piece  I always send a card and money to my grandchildren. I like the cards that pop up or have songs. They seem to appreciate them, even the teenagers! Well, the money anyway. Smiley LOL

@Citrine1 You mean the gift giving doesn't work both ways on Valentine's Day? You want something but don't plan to give anything. Wow.

Sometimes you need to treat yourself. No need to pass judgement on Citrine1.

Sent my daughter out of state a big box of soft pretzels direct from the

company. It took a week to get there but she was excited to receive them.

Got them last night for Valentine's evening.
