We used to outline the house but DH gave it up last year, so we now have only the centerpiece. . . our lifesize nativity that we had built 10 years ago. I still love it.  The star on our chimney used to grace the top of the Christmas tree at Glosser Brothers Dept. Store in downtown. We've had it on our home for 40 years

@We rescue cats

The simplicity is beautiful and recognizes the original long-foretold event when a King would become a Baby to save the world and reopen the gates to Heaven.

Your fully-lit home must have been a beautiful sight to everyone that drove by, but this one stops my heart and mind.

Thank You !

I not only love your "centerpiece" beautiful Nativity @We rescue cats Sometimes "less is more" or just enough.

Ok to evolve and do what works at any stage of life.

But also, your home 🏡 looks just like my family's home, white split level, (sold in 2017 when mom went into assisted living)...and it just makes me nostalgic. Just about now mom would be telling me, "you going to come down and put up my Christmas decorations?" ❤️

Happy December and Holiday season!

@We rescue cats   It's perfect!  I Love the star story, from a department store.

I have so many great department store memories, especially holiday windows when we were kids.  Now Pittsburgh has zero department stores downtown.  Sad.  We had Gimbels, Joseph Horne's, Kaufmanns, Lord and Taylor and Sak's.  All gone!  We have a Macys at some local malls, but none left downtown.  No 5&10's either.  GC Murphy's, McCory, Woolworths or Grants.  Most gone by the 90's.  Great childhood Christmas memories.
