Big apples and oranges and lots of unshelled nuts!

Smart people buy small stockings!

Learned that the hard way!

@simplyfriends   One X-mas, management where I live gave every tenent who has a vehicle an emergency car kit.

The kit had all kinds of medical supplies (including nargan) as well as batteries & strobe blinking lights that you place around your car at night.

If you shop Amazon they have some stocking stuffers under $5. Just search mens stocking stuffers under 5 dollars.

I think what is put in a stocking can depend on the age of the recipient.

Gift card for a gas station that also has a "made-to-order" food service can be useful for college age guys. I agree with adding snack food like nuts and protein bars. The long Slim Jims fit nicely in stockings. There's a small company that makes the best Beef Jerky. It's Aufschnitt Meats. They have 2oz. bags in variety of flavors. Lots of things sold out on their website. If someone spend lots of time outside in the cold there's the HotHands hand warmers, toe warmers, even stick on body warmers.

For the guys--what about gift cards from Lowes, Home Depot or Ace Hardware?  I haven't met a man yet that doesn't like to shop around at those stores.

We do both stockings and gifts under the tree. The stocking gifts are usually small and inexpensive. For the guys I’ve given Flashlights that can fit into their cargo pants pocket. Hand balm for their cracked fingers tips, cologne, gift cards, tools, golf balls and tees, cd’s. Along with candy, an orange, apple and a cookie.

We always did a stocking. When I was a kid, there was always an orange, a bottle of Coca Cola (since getting a whole soda to yourself was a treat!), and a candy cane.

Your post brought back that great memory for me.

Now for other people, I buy lip balm, hand cream, hand sanitizer, a pocket calendar, flashlight & batteries. Those things work for both men and women!

For my husband I give him a bag of candy, smarties.  Old time candy, not easy to find but if I do, he gets it.  Is there something you know they collect?  My husband collects Disney pins.  Not many but limited time/special edition ones like when the Star Wars pins come out for May the 4th.  I've also done the car wash gift cards but think he's tired of that.  He mostly works from home now, but when he didn't, I'd get some gift cards from McDonalld's or Burger King.  Does your area have a minor league hockey team or baseball team?  My husband thinks going to NFL and MLB games are way to expensive so he goes to minor league games instead.  Much  less expensive and more enjoyable, for him.
