Re: Starting to Think About Fall Decor

Forgot to add, I think I might start decorating for fall earlier than usual this year.

Re: Starting to Think About Fall Decor

I find it some kind of psychological relief from the heat.  Imaging the fall colors, fall leaves, pumpkins and such just helps make the dog days of August pass faster.

I started the day by lighting my Yankee Harvest candle. Smiley Happy

Really nice.  What does the Harvest smell like?

Last couple of days I've been burning Pumpkin Bonfire.  Not a lot of pumpkin scent mostly woodsy bonfire like.

The official description is "A blend of cinnamon, cloves, and musk with a hint of sweet apples and pumpkin."

To me it is a warm, slightly sweet smell. The distinct note I always detect is clove. It is a happy scent and not dramatic. It is my favorite Yankee fall scent.

I don't have a favorite fall scent but I love my Yankee Candle Sage and Citrus.

Aromatique's Cinnamon Cidar and Yankee Harvest are my favorite. I liked another scent but the company closed.

Re: Starting to Think About Fall Decor

We just got a new beautiful front door so I am hesitant to hang a wreath on it.  We also have a new flagstone porch.  It is small but wider than our old doorstep.  I plan to put pumpkins and mums on the porch but I probably won't do that until the beginning of October when DH puts out our ghost inflatable out.  I don't really have any fall decor.  I have Halloween decor and Thanksgiving decor.  Halloween stuff will go up in the beginning of October.  Thanksgiving stuff in the beginning of November and Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving.

@ninjawife - you could attach felt to the back ring of a wreath to protect your new door. Smiley Happy Your flagstone porch sounds lovely. Basically you had me at "flagstone."
