Simmering pot sachets..... (fixed typos)

[ Edited ]

I was rummaging around Etsy trying to find a little something that I could give to several neighbors and others as a little Christmas thank you gift. You know, a non-food item that's "a little something" without spending a fortune.

I stumbled on these Simmering Pot Sachets and thought I would put one in a little bag along with a Christmas card and leave it on their front door handle as a little surprise. There's a bunch of vendors offering versions of simmering pot packs. I liked this one as you keep the potpourri in the cloth bag instead of loose potpourri in a pot to clean up afterwards.  12 for $64.

One will be for the neighbor that gave me cherry tomatoes from her garden, one for another that gave me a bundle of lavender from her garden, one for the neighbor that reseeded a patch on my lawn.........you know, those neighbors.  Hope this isn't a corny idea!

@LdyBugz  Not a "corny" idea at all! I make my own mixes each year for my own pot, depending on what I have in my spice cabinet. I think your gift idea is great!

Not corny at all. I think that's a fantastic gift. Practical for the season, they look classy, and not so extravagant that it would embarrass the recipient.

Also, very thoughtful of you.

@LdyBugz  Nice idea. I don't think any gift is "corny." You are thinking of others.
