SPRING AT POTTERY BARN AND LESS EXPENSIVE DUPES

"Happiest Place is Home" is an interior designer, who performs a great service-- she cruises places like Pottery Barn for their spring or Christmas collections, finds things she likes, and points us to less-expensive lookalikes.

Spring at Pottery Barn--

Nice living room set-up.

She zeroes in on the striped, woven vases on coffee table--

The athome water hyacinth vases have the same global, hand-crafted feeling, at a better price--

She shows a newer but similar modern Pottery Barn coffee table at over a $1000, compared to a comparable, also contemporary, solid wood Wayfair one at $334-- Screenshot 2025-01-20 at 5.30.06 PM.png

And she found an even LESS expensive solid wood one--

The new pillows in the Pottery Barn living room are lovely. Love the long, lumbar one that is ikat-influenced--

She took the pricey pillow cover with the stylized flower,  and found an excellent duplicate at $24.99--

In the Pottery Barn living room, note the carved-looking birds on the mantel, at $59 each.  The Ashley Furniture ones are a pair at $26.99 at Michael's--

Pottery Barn's new bird vases, which look vintage, are super--

But, "Happiest Place" found some Amazon ones, for much less, that give a similar feeling.  ( She helpfully does note that they are a bit smaller, so sizes should be checked.)

Other new pottery from Pottery Barn she liked--

It is delightful, esp. the bud vase and the pretty candlesticks--

If people are not blue fans, but veer more toward the greens, neutrals and earth tones, she shows P.B.'s beautiful French glaze vases, and then, for less-expensive-- the pretty Victor and Teresa dupes from Amazon--

More well-priced, non-Pottery Barn items she found around the internet:

This hand-painted decorative bowl is sensational!

Could go on and on!   The "Happiest Place is Home" site is a repository of all sorts of comparative shopping like this -- fun!

I got inspired to show two comparative items myself, from the Q.  Ginger jars at different price points--

The stunning Hotel Du Cobb Large Ginger Jar.  H480506

at $77:

or, for less:

H455159.   Valerie's Indoor Outdoor Flickering Flame Ginger Jar at $44

Either way, a pretty accessory!

@Oznell Oh, I love finding dupes for less and watching others find them.

I really love the bird and french glaze vases.....

I love Pottery Barn, but it pays to shop around and compare pricing, also its best to shop at PB when they have a good sale.

The best deal is to buy things you really love and will have a long long time.

Someone told me they bought a gingerbread house cookie jar last Christmas season at hobby Lobby for $20+ and it was just like the PB one that was $100+.

Re: SPRING AT POTTERY BARN AND LESS EXPENSIVE DUPES

She just posted a new video with pretty steeply reduced clearance items from Pottery Barn, and other places.

This 'winter mixed' bundle of roses.  One of the things that "Happiest Place is Home" says as a designer is, if you are going for faux flowers, whites and creams tend to look the most realistic.  Color can be beautiful too, but I agree with her that for realism, white is reliable--

These gorgeous faux poinsettias to pick up for next year, and come in nice pots:

and from World Market, these charming, * hand carved * wood (love that) heart dishes--

There were lots more bargains in her video!
