Seems like it's the same during grilling season. The guy gets all the credit for making good burgers and the wife did all the rest, making salads, deviled eggs, baked beans, etc.

It might not always be Mom, but there's always one person behind the scenes planning, provisioning, cooking and making sure the event comes together.  Special gratitude to those people.

And, if we can expand the thought, special gratitude to all those who work longer hours and give up their holidays so we can celebrate ours.

@Foxxee GOD love her!  Mom cooks for a week off and on and folks sit for 30 minutes to eat.  Much ado for nothing it would seem................Some folks never appreciate their moms efforts until she is no longer with them, how sad.  I wish Santa could give my family back to me!  Enjoy for those with family to celebrate with.
