I'm trying to find that stuff we used to put under Christmas trees back when I was young (50+ years ago!). It was glittery sheets of white cotton-y material and you could bunch it or cut it.  I don't want the loose stuff that is supposed to look like snow.  I'm looking for packages of sheets of this stuff.  Is it still made?  Any idea what it might be called?  I'm kind of striking out in my searching. Thank you.

Re: Need help with product name

@madzonie  I googled snow blanket or cotton snow blanket

Snow Blanket Image #1

I also googled snow blanket roll - target

15in x 8ft Christmas Glitter Faux Snow Blanket - Wondershop, White

3ft x 8ft Christmas Glitter Faux Snow Roll - Wondershop, White

Is this what you are looking for?

birdmama...thanks!  This is very close to what I was looking for!  The stuff used to be sold in bags with a couple sheets for what seemed like pennies many years ago.  I like the thinner stuff that is easy to bunch.  Another term I found in my searching is "snow drape."  I now have a good search going on...but am astounded at how much they want for a bag of fluff! Smiley Happy  Thanks so much!

Last year I was able to get that for $.99/bag at Walmart. Don't know if they still have it or if the price is still that cheap.

You could use the poly batting that is made for quilting but it won't have the sparkly stuff on it.

@madzonie  Try Michael's.  I know what you are talking about.  I get the sheets and pluck off what I need for displays.

That's what I use under my Christmas village. It works very well. If you have to have it sparkly some white/silver glitter sprinkled on it might give that effect.
