I didn't get to see the show.

Did anyone see the ghost floating candles?

How do they work?! I do wish QVC would keep things up even when they sell out and also so we can read reviews later.

Some of these responses are so funny. I certainly wouldn't call them "ignorant." Just different feelings for sure.

I love seeing the scariest my neighbors can produce. So many places I've lived have fantastic haunted houses, screaming things flying across the yard. Outside I love it... in other people's yards lol!

One daughter had 3 lifesize cackling witches in the yard-loved them.

For me, I've always not had too scary decorations, mostly because of young children though I do have a very scary tape but one grandaughter still doesn't like that at all-too scary she said.

My sister and I are huge witch fans. I like webs and witches and draping purple and black webs across chairs and things. And having them reach for tricks or treats in a cauldron with loads of web type material.

I adore Halloween!

It's refreshing to have someone like Martha Stewart, who is a Halloween enthusist, bring interesting adult decor for the holiday.  The cutesie, 'happy' Halloween is fine for the kiddies but since the real meaning behind Halloween reflects a time, long gone, of honoring those who have past on, decor that illustrates that time is most welcomed for some of us.  Everything Martha offered has specific symbolism and if you know, you know.  What is NOT Halloween are the gorey things that Hollywood pushed through movies and now, unfortunately, are accepted as a part of an ancient holiday.

Martha's pumpkins are always attractive and resonate in realism. Her black or white skulls are some of the nicests I've seen this season.  I ordered one of each. The rose wreath was interesdting, although, I do agree with another poster who pointed out the the snakes looked more like worms. I think I would have prefered the wreath with the black and muted green roses by themselves so I passed on the wreath but did order the flip color light strand.  It was a fun show and I always look forward to them and I hope Martha continues to bring creative Halloween merchandise in the future.

@on the bay When someone scowls at Halloween decor for being macabre and featuring decor like snakes, skulls, or anything with historical or folkloric weight, they’re not offering an educated opinion, they're revealing a lack of understanding about the holiday’s origins, and decorating traditions that have been the norm for decades. That's ignorance. Halloween has long embraced the eerie and the unsettling.

@Pauline5147,

Yes, it may be historical and some might even realize that but are just expressing their dislike. It's ok to not like something while also realizing it is part of Halloween folklore and history, don't you think?

@on the bay Sure, it’s absolutely fine to dislike something while recognizing its historical place. But my response wasn’t about personal taste, it was about the framing. When people publicly dismiss macabre Halloween decor as somehow inappropriate or out of bounds, that’s not just “dislike.” It’s a misinformed critique of what the holiday has always included. That’s the distinction I was making.

@We rescue cats

Oh, I would love to "dress up" for something like that. I have the perfect huge Victorian touring hat to wear.  That's such a fun theme to explore.

Last year, I picked up a brown top hat with goggles attached and just wear it around the house now and then for laughs.

Snakes are not my favorites but I appreciate them and their place in nature.

@Witchy Woman We had never heard of it, and reading our private group on facebook, neither have most of the attendees! LOL! I had ordered all sorts of Halloween decorations for our campsite, but just returned them all when the info for the event arrived! I should have consulted you!
