Many Lights Up and On, Tree Goes Up Tomorrow

Quite a few have the outside lights up and going and more go up every day!  Our tree goes up and ON tomorrow!  Woman LOL

I love it and it helps chase away the darker days.  Woman Wink

@Sooner   lol   I just stored the few pieces of Halloween decor I have.

What I have noticed in the neighborhood here is lots of outdoor lights are up and on at the entrances to both developments and private homes.  I've seen no signs of indoor Thanksgiving or any of the December holidays yet.  I do very little myself and will hold off for another few weeks.

Tonight is the tree lighting in our town.  As to my house it will be the weekend after Thanksgiving.

There is a big holiday parade the Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving that kicks off the season by us. I'm bring up our Balsam Hill tree on Nov 18. Not sure when we'll decorate it. I know it's rather soon but the decorations are so pretty so I like to enjoy them for almost two months.

Re: Many Lights Up and On, Tree Goes Up Tomorrow

Yesterday, I took my sister to physical therapy.  In her neighborhood, I noticed a few houses with their lights and wreaths up and her across the street neighbor had those pine swags on their window sills with red bows.

I haven't noticed any Christmas decor in my neighborhood.  The fall wreaths and pumpkins and mums are still on display.

It isn't even Thanksgiving yet, we have two more weeks to go.

By the time Christmas gets here, many early people will be rushing on December 26 to take it all down.

I haven't noticed any Christmas decor yet around my area.  Some people have lights but they are just white lights and many keep them up year round.  In our townhouse complex it seems like it's all still Fall decorations out.  The day after Thanksgiving I will put the Fall decor away ,do a house cleaning, then put up the Christmas decor!!  I think I usually set the trend in my complex, LOL!      I'm excited for it and bring on the snow!!!

Re: Many Lights Up and On, Tree Goes Up Tomorrow

I haven't seen any outside decor put up around our area yet. I think partly due to the weather being milder than normal. Over the next 10 days it will be in the high 60's-low 70's. Maybe by next weekend folks will start putting up their decorations.

We don't put up outdoor decorations...not since around 2010. We had them stolen & damaged twice...delinquent kids.

Since then, I only put up a small single window vintage wreath, but that's it. (pic below).

Yesterday I finished holiday decorating our kitchen and I've started on our livingroom today. Our main tree I'll probably get started on by the middle of next week. I'm looking forward to getting VPH's new ceramic tree. It just shipped yesterday.P5260752.JPG
