Looking for Something Specific?

Are you looking for something specific as far as decor for Christmas this year?

I would like to get really full flocked garland. I would be fine with unlit because then I can get the strands of lights I like. I saw a Hallmark movie and really liked the decor in the movie. Lots of flocked garland with white lights!

Re: Looking for Something Specific?

No, not really.   I have way too much stuff already for Christmas decor.   I do love to watch the Christmas shows though, it gives me ideas of how to decorate with what I already have.  I've been trying to streamline each year but I don't get very far, LOL!   I did go through my flameless candles today though, I made a small box of the less expensive ones I don't use to donate.  That's something right?

I hope you find the perfect garland Smiley Happy

@Sakuya Not really for Christmas. I think I have enough but inevitably end up making a couple purchases during CIJ. However, I am really leaning towards decorating my Christmas tree this Fall like the one below. It's so pretty.

@LindaSal - Great job going through your candles!

@cjm61 - If you decorate a fall tree I think you will love it! I have done a fall tree twice and am planning to do it again this year. I use a 7-1/2 foot tree that is in an urn. I add orange lights to the already prelit white lights. Then its adding fall ornaments and pumpkins and picks oh my. The orange lights give it such a warm and inviting glow. You may be sad when it is time to take it down.

@Sakuya   If you can't find what you want, just buy THE plain garland and spray on your own flocking.

You can find flocking at Amazon or the Home Depot as well as Walmart.

@Carmie - Have you ever used that? Wondering how messy and smelly it is.

I'll be keeping my eyes open for any new George and Viv buildings.  I sort of hope they don't issue any new ones, so I don't feel compelled to add to my collection.

I'm using new-to-me colors this year, so I'm hoping the vision in my head looks okay in real life.

Yes, I have used it.

If you're going to spray something large, I would recommend you spray it outside and let it dry.

You have to be careful you don't spray finished wood too. Once the flocking is dry, it won't hurt wood.

I have used it to spray on natural wreaths and sprays and on an artificial wreath and on ornaments.    You will get some shedding of the flocking, but It's not too bad.

Some brands work better than others.  I don't remember what brands I used.  I would read the reviews on the product before you buy.
