Re: Last Day for Christmas in July...

I always love CIJ and this year was pretty good.

I bought very little compared to past years, and nothing Christmas specific, but I have spent quite a bit on lanterns and candles!.

I too have been stopped by the shipping. Many things I may have purchased more of had there been reduced shipping when ordering multiples, or a flat rate shipping for everything ordered on one particular day or something.

I will be sad to see it go too, it is such a nice change from all the clothing, beauty and shoes they show for days on end.

Finally!! Maybe now we can get back to Summer!!

I know summer never left here! We still had to mow, trim, weed the garden, put up produce, etc. CIJ was just a nice diversion for a few days, from the heat and the work!

Whew, thank god! It's junk to me.

What does QVC sell that you don't consider to be junk? Not being snarky - this is a serious question.

Funny, it comes off as very snarky but that's on you.

I have many items from QVC since I do almost all my shopping online, my vaccum cleaner, my Vita-Mix, my Dyson air multipliers (fans), my Dyson hair dryer, ,many different brands of cosmetics and clothing, kitchen utensils and pans, towels and sheets. I'm sure you know the drill, just the usual things.

Thank you for a serious answer. I buy many of those products as well. However there are a lot that are "junk" in my eyes: most cosmetic and beauty products, expensive handbags, costume jewelry just to name a few. However I don't drop into discussions on those forums to proclaim it all junk.

My point is that on this forum we are having a lot of fun sharing our purchases and ideas for holiday decorating and your statement was rude and jarring and perhaps more appropriate for the Q Talk forum. Of course we know some is jjunk but many are high quality items. And, of course, I don't argue with your freedom to express your opinion.

That all sounds like junk to me. j/k but it just proves that "junk" is relative. What you buy you don't consider junk just as what others buy they don't consider junk. I sure don't consider my CIJ purchases junk, if I did I wouldn't have purchased them.

Re: Last Day for Christmas in July...

It might be the last day of "Christmas in July", although it's August 1st so I'm not sure why there is still 21 hours of holiday programming today.....but it's just the beginning of the season for QVC.

QVC is in full on x-mas selling mode.  I'm betting that the 25th of August will feature 24 hours of x-mas stuff as will the 25th of September, October and November.  There will be x-mas shows interspersed among the other progamming and it won't be long before all regular programming like AMStyle, PMStyle, Friday Night Beauty, etc. will be replaced with the holiday programming.
