Hi Community!  If anyone has purchased and received Jane's Cardinal Nativity, please give me your opinion.  It is on sale now, and I am undecided.

I looked at the presentation and this is my opinion.  I think putting some birds with the blessed family is silly.  Putting the angel seems very nice but the birds are just an old wive's tale that seems a bit silly.  I believe my mother is watching over me always and that she is not coming to me through a cardinal.

I'm a very spiritual person and don't believe in gimmiks.  I really think Jane makes too much of herself.

Well, at least they didn't incorrectly add the 3 Wise men to the birth.

They arrived MUCH later, yet the majority of Nativities have them present with their gifts.

I guess we should move them to another room to show their later arrival!   LOL

And if we are going to be accurate, the Angels appeared to the Shepards proclaiming great joy of the birth.  They then departed back to heaven.  There is no indication in Luke, which gives the details of His birth, that the Angels appeared at the Manger at all.

So I guess, 2 cute little red birdies aren't going to hurt anything.

I don't like the cardinals on the statue.  They stick out like a sore thumb.  I don't recall cardinals being mentioned in the story of Jesus' birth anyway.

Completely agree with RespesctLife. That is why I don't diesplay a Nativity Scene.

I am sick, sick, sick of this cardinal tale on any product!!  It's dumb and on a nativity even dumber.  

If my mom came back as a bird it sure wouldn't be a cardinal hahahahahah!

There's a reason why it's on sale, @LadyAlice.  The cardinals on the piece make no sense. 🤦‍♀️

@LadyAlice  I don't have this item but just wanted to say that if a nativity is on your list, it's a relatively pretty piece. Had it been offered up by VPH some of the naysayers would likely be gasping with glee over it. 'Authenticity' would not be an issue for me, as none of us were there at the time, now were we... If you like it, that's what matters.
