I'm now alternating between deep cleaning, and outdoor Fall work, with the intention of getting ALL my Christmas decor out next week, sometime in between 3 days when I have outside appointments. I still need to shampoo my dining room carpeting and the stairs, ugh. Sorting my holiday decor into what I'm using and what I am going to donate, along with the remaining areas to shampoo carpet are my big jobs, other than leaf disposal, but I plan to get an early start on decorating, as I have to do what I can, when I can. Whatever we all decide to do, just enjoy the season!

I hate to rush the seasons and holidays it seems retail seems to push everything.

Been doing some Christmas shopping and contemplating recipies, but I won't even think of decorating until December.

I'm shifting into autumn: the jack-o-lanterns are gone, but I still have lots of items with  beautiful earth tones.

The red and green stuff can wait another month.

@Oostende  I love the pic of your Victorian house in the snowfall.  I remember winters like that when the snow was so beautiful.  Why is it now, that I am older, it is no longer that pretty Smiley Happy.

Re: It's Time ......Go!

I dont care what psychologist or a writer says............

I DO decorate for Christmas early---start early in November--I do it over several days to make it more  manageable.  And it enables me to be able to enjoy it longer....too much work for all I do for just a couple of weeks.......And with the decorating done, less stress and more time to enjoy festivities and special Christmas events.... My friends and family dont really focus on gifts either just a handful exchange gifts now --so it keeps it less hectic and focused more on faith and also more on fun
