I do wonder where you would find ribbon like that?  I would imagine not even a craft store would have something of that quality . . . I wonder if Neiman Marcus sells ribbon like that around the holiday?

It sure is pretty!  Smiley Happy

There's an ETSY shop called Annie's Luxuries that has some holiday ribbon such as this and others:

Center Braided Silver Sequins Gold Dupioni Wire Edge Ribbon by D Stevens 4" x 10 Yards Christmas Holidays Wreaths Baskets Events Bows Gifts

I also found some luxury holiday ribbons here:

I saw no prices, only mentions of showrooms.  It seems these may be for decorators only.

@GingerPeach those are just gorgeous, thanks for finding them!  You know, that makes sense about a decorating place having access to something like this.  When I was married we had friends that owned one and they always had the most clever accent touches and this would fit right in . . . gorgeous!

Alberti, from the pictures I have seen of your house, I must say it has that certain je ne sais quoi that I find so charming.  Your decorating skills definitely contribute to making it such an inviting home to all who enter.

Thank you for sharing a little slice of your life!   It will be fun to see how your holiday decor comes together.

p.s.  I use the same style ribbon at the top of my holiday tree--in plain matte gold organza.  I always put it on last so that I can drape it over the ornaments and then top it all off with the crowning glory--a gold star on top!

The tree looks great.  I like to put ribbon on the tree.

MTC:  I have bought lots of gorgeous ribbon from Costco, but none hold a candle to the ones Albert put on his tree.  I goggled jeweled Christmas ribbon and found some but again, when you see his nothing seems to be good enough LOL.  Wish QVC would sell something like that, it would blow the phones up.

A big THANKS for the Costco tip.  Went there over the weekend and found 50 foot rolls of decorative and wired ribbon for $6.99 EACH ROLL.

Though they were not as "fancy" as the ribbon Alberti used, I set out hoping to find a ribbon that had red and gold in it, as my new star from Gumps is gold and I have a fair collection of red and gold dec for my tree.

Really loved 2 ribbons at Costco.  Had to decline on my favorite, as it was too wide, but clearly the best of all that I saw.  However, found a narrower ribbon about 2.0" wide with gold on the edges, red ribbon and teeny gold stars on the red.  This was my purchase.

They had many white and white combo ribbons and Santa ribbon.  Had to get the Santa ribbon because my granddaughter has learned about Father Christmas from watching her favorite "Peppa Pig" DVD.  Will use it on the tree, instead of a garland and there will be plenty left over to use for packages.

Question:  Somewhere I heard that a store was carrying wooden cranberry garlands for the tree.  Anybody recall where?  I'd like not to spend the time and pain stringing real cranberries this year, which I  DO love.

Thanks to Alberti for starting this thread, which got me inspired, and for the many ideas proferred, which just got more Christmas "juices" going.

Edited to correct width of ribbon purchased.  Is 2.0", not 1.5"
