@Bookplate,  are you implying you ONLY purchase "necessary" products or are you just demeaning people that cater to their wants?

I think peak or excess consumerism has been around longer than these beds.

We all spend money on different things, and I'm sure we all have opinions on what's a silly purchase and what's not. I don't want people shaming me or telling me what I should or shouldn't buy.

Could we be better consumers and less wasteful and frivolous in our purchases? Do we buy because we need it, or because of the thrill and excitement of having something new? I know I could do better on my purchases. I'm not going to speak for others.

I can see this as something that kids would love!

However at my age with a bad knee I can barely get down on the floor without hurting my knee let alone trying to get up!

The first one is now on sale for $280. Better hurry before they sell out.

I think most dogs rather jump in bed with us?

Our dogs had their own foam pads we cut & covered with a zipper for cleaning.

I would have bought one for my 175 lb Great Dane.  Only dog I ever had who didn't sleep in bed with us as he was too big.  He is gone now but would have had one of these beds were they available at the time.  He was worth the price.

Sam's Club has them on sale right now - $49.98 for the kid's size.  $69.98 for the adult.  Good reviews.  It's called the Snuggle Cuddler Oversized Plush Human Dog Bed.

Well, it DOES look comfy!  Maybe they are tapping into a new market -- for humans who "identify" as dogs.  I'm sure there are some out there.  Woman LOL

@Citrine1 Great call out! Never thought of that! I mean, we've seen (or heard of) litter boxes placed in school bathrooms now for children who identity as cats!

I don't see these as being any more ridiculous than bean bag chairs and sofas.  In fact, if adequately  cushioned on the bottom, they appear to be quite cozy and practical for lounging or ever sleeping.  Kids would love them.

@Kachina624 Good point! And the doggies can hop right in, all of them snuggling together for sleepovers!

GD sent a picture of Ellie's new XL, luxurious pet bed...she was stretched out from head to toe comfortably relaxing. It made me smile. Ellie, should have the very best bed she deserves only the best, as all animals.
