Thank you @EastCoastGal It's tradition. I bake a cake every year and before anything we sing Happy Birthday. Always wanted Kevin to know why we celebrated. Kevin is now 28 and looks forward to the cake.

@qvcfreak - I, too, think this is great! My birthday is shortly before Christmas. I never get a chance to use all of the email coupons I get!

My friend's son was born Christmas Day. They always celebrated his birthday on June 25. I think I would stick to December. After all, December babies are special!   Smiley Wink

@beach-mom  We have a niece on my husband's side born Dec 24th and we made her a birthday party once and nobody came just the family. After that we celebrate her birthday with her friends July 24th. Family celebrates Dec 24th.

This will be a first for me.....I broke my arm on December 11th.  So DH, who doesn't cook, had to make all the food!  I stood beside him and guided him through it all!

He was a sweet trooper, did it all, and it was delicious!  It was the first time in 43 years that I didn't do all the work!  I felt like a princess 👸

I'm sorry for the reason that you weren't able to cook, but glad your spouse was able to replicate your menu and you got a year off from cooking!
