H502688 Home Reflections Set of 2 Metal Vintage Taper Holders

These chamberstick candleholders are new from HR, cute and vintage inspired.  I am actually more interested in the 3 to 4" tall (?) tapers that are not included.

I've searched Q and Amazon and so far haven't seen this specific flame tip style of taper in this super short height. Amazon has some that are only 0.6" diameter with clips for placing on tree branches. That is the closest I found.

Anyway, Valerie has a couple of different taper candleholders, featuring the shorter tapers in the photos, but again, the shorter tapers are not offered.

Perhaps they are yet to come. I'd be interested in perhaps trying a couple of the super short tapers if the price isn't too high.

Those chamberstick candle holders are very nice, thanks for sharing. I think they would look nice with tall taper candles too.

@SHOPR I was looking for some short tapers a while back and couldn't find any shorter than 6.4". Hopefully, if they are showing the photo with the shorter taper they will offer it as well. Good price for those holders, I have seen similar for a lot more $$.

@Mom2Dogs

Hi.  The bulb on the Home Reflections candles is the flame.  It is small, opaque and not clear.  The flame bulb flickers a smalll amount, which is barely noticeable.  It does not illuminate the body of the candle.  The top of the candle is flat.

I much prefer the Luminara candle because:

1.  The lighting comes from inside  the upper body of the candle, so you get much more candle "glow" in the lighter colors.  (It's not noticeable in black candles)

2.  The flame is a light colored plastic piece that moves in a flicker that is noticeable.  I can see it from across the room.  Yet it looks natural.

3.  The top part of their standard candle is molded to look as though one side of the candle is partially melted.  It is very pleasing.

I bought some of the Home Reflections candle sets because I wanted them all in one color, to put in front of the fireplace for when I don't want to heat the room, but want the hint of a flame's illumination mimicking the fire.

They are OK.  However, the Luminara are still far superior and I bit the bullet and got the sets I wanted.

If QVC doesn't have Luminara as a vendor now, when people are more freely buying candles for holiday decor, I just don't see them bringing them back at all.

The Luminara website has some cool stuff, but they sell out so fast and they don't tend to have many large sets in different colors.

I do so value the older Luminara sets I managed to buy.

@SactoSue Have you seen them on Amazon and even Ebay. I have purchased replacement candles there from old styles they don't make anymore.

@SactoSue   Thank you....I am pretty sure that I have a home reflections candle...a round blue orb...very pretty but the bulb just ruined the entire look.  I appreciate your description.

@Estellee  Well, when I was browsing for tapers, I somehow missed this new Home Reflections lantern with included 5 inch tapers. I think it is fairly new.
Perhaps the ones above in question are 5" not 3" or 4" as I had thought.
Thought I'd pass this lantern along since I just noticed it. I'm not interested in the dual tapers look but at least it shows us that shorter tapers are possible. Woman Very Happy

@SHOPR Yes, 5" is the smallest I've seen. Maybe the candles alone will be offered soon, thanks for the info.

I have 2 of the 34" lanterns when they were on Shawn's saves Christmas show.   I love them !   I have purchased other items though that weren't so nice ,  not made too well .   So I don't know ,  maybe it's hit or miss.

Thanks @Estellee

I have also realized Potery Barn sells some Luminara  candles, although they don't specifically say they are.
