Ornament Premiere starts Saturday, July 11. That is when a majority of their Christmas ornaments are available to buy in stores and online. If you are a rewards member, you also may earn more points depending on the number of ornaments bought.

@Sakuya   My sister still purchases every year.  Too many ornaments and I don't normally go any longer.  Beautiful pieces though.  That's why her tree takes 2 days to put up.  It, of course is beautiful.  Enjoy if anyone goes!

My tree takes less than an hour.  Still beautiful, but I don't put the time in she does.  🤣🎄

I am looking forward to CIJ this weekend though.

From 1979 until 2001 we bought at least 1 Hallmark ornament every year.  They are now stored somewhere in the closet.  Maybe they're worth something?  DH has pristine Star Trek ornaments.  We should bring them to a ST convention and see if they're worth anything??

@Sakuya and other fellow posters - I have been getting these ornaments for some time.

Years ago they had a lion and lamb lying together. Our store got only 3. We lived near a Halllmark top executive in another state, and I let him know what I thought! Thank goodness he was also a good friend!  He said he couldn't even get one!

I have been collecting Mischievous Kittens and Mary's Angels since they started. DH likes the birds. And of course when our children were young we got some special ones.

I went in yesterday afternoon with my wish list. I started with the two, but somehow ended up with 7. I told the SA (older than I am) I'm supposed to be cutting down. She told me a while before I was there a woman turned her wish in with 43 on it!

We have two trees, and we also have other special ornaments. One year I put two artificial wreaths on the wall that had space for some. That was when our TV was smaller.

I remember days about 20 years ago when the line Saturday morning stretched around the corner. Those days are gone, but I always enjoyed talking to strangers and learning which ones were special to them.  Smiley Happy

I saw some of new ornaments the other day when I was in the Hallmark store. I started collecting the Nostalgic Houses and Shops series in 1983, that series is still being produced.

I stopped collecting the series about ten years ago. The quality of the collections has been cheapened over the years.

I use to go, but stopped years ago.  I still cherish the ones that I have.

For my 3 daughters i would get them one every year that had something to do with what they were "in to" that year.  For example:  if one was into "hello Kitty" that year they got a Hello Kitty ornament.  Have continued the tradition with grandchildren Every year getting the ornaments out, I get misty eyed!
