Once upon a time we used to get real trees but have used an artificial tree for many years now.  We always have it in the same corner of the living room.

One year when we had a real tree which was next to the fireplace in the family room.  It just looked too tight so I talked my DH into dragging it (decorated!) into the living room and that's where we've had a tree ever since.

Many of my neighbors have an artificial tree in the living room and a real one in the family room.

A couple of years in a row I had a skinny one in the corner of the kitchen with cute cookie cutters and kitchen themed ornaments but don't have that space now.

In front of the glass sliding door every year. I bought a small white stick tree with lights. It is on the hearth. I am enjoying it. Husband shakes his head and smiles.

Mine is always in the living room in front of the window facing the road. It always has white lights and is decorated with Joan River's egg ornaments. It pleases me and that is all that matters. I know that others find it boring.

We only put up one tree, and it's always centered in front of our living room windows that face the street.

A few years ago we bought our first tree with lights already attached. Quite a time saver. I grew up with those huge colored bulbs so I like colored lights, but white is pretty too. I can set the lights to go back and forth between white and colors. 👍

We have collected a variety of ornaments over the years. Every ornament is different. My sister-in-law has a theme tree where all the ornaments are exactly the same. It's pretty, but I get more joy from the memories associated with all our unique ornaments.

I only have one spot in my family room where the tree fits.  I like having it in the family room so we can enjoy viewing it.  If it were in any other room, we would hardly get to enjoy it.

Yes, I downsized homes a few years ago and really don’t have another option.

Thanks for the replies. I find myself in the minority in that I move it to different locations in our living room. The room is small so I have to rearrange the furniture (which we did today).

Yes, it's to the right of a big window that I have in my living room. It' just looks right in that same location year after year.

Our tree goes in the front windows because it looks good from the street and we can see it there the best.  At the other end of the room, the tree would be behind the recliner.

Yes, the tree goes in the same place!  We have a small house and small rooms, so we are limited as to how we can place things.  I don't mind.  I am just grateful when we get it up and decorated!
