@Marp I dont know if you have a Sam's Club nearby but they have wonderful pineapple spears in coconut water that I chunked up for a party. It is absolutely delicious.

@LizzieInSRQ,  thanks for the recommendation.  Unfortunately the nearest Sam's Club is at least an hour away so trips there are limited.  I will check out the pineapple spears on my next visit though.

I swear by pineapple to help with digestion after eating a big meal be it a holiday or just one of those days.

Re: Do You Offer Fresh Fruit After a Holiday Meal?

Our family always ended every meal, holiday or not, with fruit, nuts and expresso.  Even if there were cakes/pies/cookies, my dad would not get up from the table until he had his expresso.

@Sooner - I have a fruit tray available. Not everyone eats sweets.

Nobody would eat it at holiday gatherings because there are so many goodies that they don't normally get!  The only fruit would be in a jello salad - lol - or - a fruit pie.  Normally, can't speak for the rest of the family, but fresh fruit is part of our daily life.

Fruit has so much sugar in it. I try to not eat it.

We have fresh fruit all thru dinner and on the fantastic charcuterie boards my DS makes. He finds alot of exotic fruits too, so is fun to try them out. I love the fruits you mentioned along with some good cheese/spreads  and crackers.

@roeroe1005   GOOD for your dad!  I love espresso, hate any regular coffee.

@Marp The ones at Sama in my town are in a great glass jar good enough to keep!!!  And the peach halves in glass jars too.  I think those are from Spain.
