I just don't have it in me to bake a bunch of cookies this year. I still wanted to have some to serve to guests or just have for desserts. Anyway, I took a chance and ordered a tin of Italian cookies from Macys, they are called Cookies Con Amore, Handmade Italian cookies. I checked and they are still available. It is an assortment, and they are so good. I had on with an apricot filling and it was delicious.

@QVCkitty1 That sounds great! I stopped baking cookies because DH can't have sweets, and he is so tempted by the smell of baking cookies. I bought the tin of David's Butter Pecan Meltaways at Costco. They're not as good as homemade, but they are quite good. DD and DIL are great cookie bakers, so I know the grands will be well taken care of. I'm going to look into those Macy's cookies. Thanks!

@QVCkitty1 thank you so much for the suggestion. I just ordered a tin for a friend in MD with expedited shipping. It was a last minute gift and I have a Macys account so it was easy. She will love them with her afternoon coffee. So happy I logged in today and saw your post. They look so pretty and you said they were good!

@simplyfriends , You never know what to expect when you order something, but these cookies are really good. I hope your friend enjoys them ! 🎄

Tomorrow I'm making just two items for Christmas - toffee treats and peanut butter balls. One year I asked someone over to bake cookies but I could tell she wasn't into it so I'll make them myself while DH is at a card party. My SIL has about ten members of the family over in early December to make cookies but I always decline simply because we don't need that many sweets in the house.

@AuntG , I always make my molasses ginger cookies, but that will be the extent of my baking.

They look very yummy. Never knew Macy's sold cookies.

Hey this reminds me I was looking at this "Cookies Con Amore" offer a while ago, but from HSN, not Macys. I forgot all about them! (HSN also has other items from them)
