@'Both mom and dear sister loved everything Christmas, after mom passed away we stopped watching cij, we had too much Christmas, instead we saved for travel together.

Yesterday, was an exception for me.

@Alsace Gal, I am so happy you ordered Valerie's slim tree. I am sure your sister would be so pleased to know that you will be enjoying it while thinking of her during the holiday season. I can only imagine the beautiful memories you two shared.

Perhaps you will be able to listen to Christmas music she enjoyed as well as watch some Christmas movies that she enjoyed. She will always be present in your heart.

@Alsace Gal - I'm so sorry for your loss. My mom was an identical twin too. Once they were adults they didn't get to live near each other, but saw each other all of the time. Since my aunt and uncle had no children they usually drove to our home.

One time when I was away at college they sent me identical "thinking of you" cards. Another time when I was in high school my aunt called my mom one Friday night and said her foot had been aching all night. Earlier that evening, 12 hours away, my mom had returned from the hospital with her sprained ankle bandaged!

I actually resembled my aunt a little more than I did my mom!

When my mom died suddenly from septic shock and my aunt and uncle came down, my aunt said she felt like she had lost her right arm. Almost a year to the day later my aunt died suddenly from a stomach aneurysm.

You were lucky to have had the same close relationship my mom and my aunt had. I know the special beautiful tree you ordered will comfort you and help you remember many special times with your sister.
