@ladycos

Just reading the title of your thread, my thought before clicking in was "oh boy, I'm not going to like those".

But boy was I wrong. I love what you are doing with black and white! Your kitchen looks so inviting, and even more so, it's homey and warm, which isn't something I usually associate with black and white decor (it usually says 'formal and sophisticated' to me, and not in a bad way at all).

Just beautiful!

@Mominohio

Thank you, I'm glad that's the feel you get because that was what I was going for.  Sometimes with the stainless appliances and white cabinets things look a little cold. I thought if I mixed the black and white pumpkins etc in with a little farmhouse it might work. Thanks to other poster mentioning checked pumpkins in a post.

It's amazing the ideas I get by reading the post. I have really enjoyed all the pictures and ideas. It has been very helpful. I feel like I found my people, haha.

This is not a very good picture, but I got these yesterday at Walmart, and I just love them!

@loriqvc, thank you, I love them too!  Walmart was just putting out their fall items and they had some really cute things, there were only two of these left, and I just had to have them, LOL!

@Hooty - I was just trying to see if they were available on the WM website; do you have any details about a brand name or whether they were called "gingham" or "checkered" pumpkins or something similar? I couldn't find them online. I can see that the pumpkins in your photo have tags but can't read them...

Your pumpkins look great! I especially like that you have varied the size of the checks.

I like looking at it, I wouldn't do it.  I'm a traditionalist when it comes to my pumpkins ad Fall decor.  Last year at the Farmer's Market, I did see some Heirloom pumpkins that were a soft blue/white.  They had large ones and mini ones and thought about doing an arrangement but I chickened out.
