Blogger "Inspired by Charm" was taken with this sweet picture, "Foxy on the Run",  and decorated his fall mantel in his den around him--

He chose a walnut frame for "Foxy...",  which is perfect for the colors, the wonderful brick backdrop, etc.

Love the iron candle sconces and the wicker-wrapped bottles.  I've pondered such bottles in antique stores, loving the rich texture, but could never justify starting another collection, ha. But they look so great in fall.

The whole thing gives such a cozy feeling...

Am always so drawn to foxes.  In fall, my favorite symbols are ducks ( and some shore birds), foxes, autumnal berries, quails or pheasants, and leaves.  Do like pumpkins, but not quite as much.

If you have favorite fauna or flora in fall,  would you share what they are?

There’s something artful in the way it’s arranged, a story told in textures, highs, and lows. Perfectly staged. It has great eye flow.

Nicely done.  It's such fun staging a mantle or table top using you collection of treasures.  Few people do it with such skill, however.

beautiful and I love the fox...living in the country we see them all the time. I'm scared of them but they are such a pretty animal and I like to watch them from my windows. I bought a few fall decor with foxes this year. I got a really pretty fall flag with a fox and my grandson loves it.

I like the painting of the fox but not the frame. I like the couch!

I never like red brick. I think it's because when I was growing up we lived in old red/brown brick apts and sometimes even the school was red brick!

My favorite critters for fall are hedgehogs, chipmonks owls and Canada geese.

I like to see real foxes but a few weeks ago there was the largest grey fox I've ever seen racing through the grass and that was

scary!

It does need a nice dog!Woman Very Happy

We keep our living room mantel pretty much the same all year round.

Our family room fireplace is brick to the ceiling, and we chose to change out appropriate prints for the season.  I found a Billy Jacobs print called "Kids Will Be Kids" in a country gift store.  It pictures a red barn in the background, a pile of hay, and goats scampering around -  they are the "kids."  The mantle is a large and heavy oak piece with dentil molding originally from a Victorian home.  Permanently hanging next to that is an antique schoolhouse clock.  I change out little figures on the top of the mantle from a little collection.

That I guess is my lazy woman's decorating.

I am pumpkins and fall leaves all the way! Don't know why, but I've never used any animals in my holiday decor, except for a couple bunnies at Easter.

I do like this mantle, though!

Unfortunately I find this display rather dreary.
