At the risk of causing an uproar among whose who can't abide Christmas in July, it starts 2 months from today with Valerie Parr Hill kicking off the "festivities." I am looking forward to this. I only watch the holiday and fall harvest shows. For me this is a welcome relief from fashions, beauty, vacuums and mattresses.

@50Mickey   Thanks for posting, I enjoy many of the Christmas in July programs, especially Valerie's. I keep an eye out all year long for opportunities to get my holiday gifts done way before December, which allows me to enjoy Christmas more. No stress this way.

I love Christmas in July, glad it's only 2 months away. Lots of great items to look forward to. Both holiday and non holiday items.

I look forward to CIJ and will be watching and enjoying the holiday vibes! Christmas is my favorite time of year! I have to admit I don't buy as much as I used to, but I'll enjoy the programming for sure.

I really have enough.

However last Christmas I decided that I needed a new tree.  I really loved how the Bethlehem TSV trees looked so there was a great buy in January for "as is" trees.

First I purchased the 5 ft. tree for the living room thinking we could lift it up on some kind of stand.  It really looked small in the room.  DS came over when we were checking out the tree and laughed at it.  I agreed that it didn't look right but I found a spot in the family room up on a trunk in a corner....I always wanted a tree for that room but there was no good space.

So I went back and ordered another "as is" tree.  This time a 7ft. tree for the living room.  We tested it out for more than a week....my neighbors must have thought we were crazy for lighting up Chrismas trees in the house at the end of January! LOL!Smiley Happy

So now I have plenty of holiday decor!

@haddon9,

Thats' funny and I could see myself doing something like that.

Your home probably looks beautiful now. Might as well leave them up til after Christmas and then you don't even have to take them down and put them up again!Woman LOL

It's my favorite time of year!Heart

@on the bay Oh gosh we took them down after a week of trying them out over the winter.  One thing that I really liked a lot about them is how easy they are to put together & take apart!

I am looking forward to using them this year! Smiley Happy

Oh how fun! I have set a reminder on my phone. All year long I have Christmas in the back of my mind. Projects I want to do, ideas for displays, scrolling through Pinterest, etc. I actually already have some gifts bought and am pondering others. I still watch the Hallmark Christmas movies on Friday night if it is one I like. Great American Family plays them on Friday might as well. Looking forward to seeing what Valerie brings. Smiley Happy
