I don't  have anyone to celebrate Xmas with, my Family has all passed on. I still buy and decorate my kitchen table and love it. I'm also happy for the people who do have Family. I would never give a thumbs down to the man's birthday. Love Valerie, she's made my home full of happiness every season, and I have almost reached the point of no cupboard room, but I'll still buy ,and enjoy every minute of it.

Go for it, @HLP !  Gosh, did you make me smile.

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

I usually buy a lot in CIJ but there was just not anything new or original. And I have so much I need to pare down, not buy more. Also I have quite a few things I bought last year and then could not decorate because I was ill, so all of that will be new to me.

That being said (ha, ha) I did order two sets of the Luminara candy cane balls. I can do a lot with them.

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

I have really enjoyed this first day of Christmas in July programming. I have been looking forward to it and have bought several things. I stayed up late to watch Valerie’s show and a repeat hour of the TSV kickoff. The set for Valerie’s show did not disappoint and I was happy I enjoyed Valerie’s presentation in her home. I was worried how it would turn but after watching, I consider it to have been a success. A lot of what I bought is on advanced order which I was expecting due to the supply chain, but that is fine. I’m not in a hurry.

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

@bikerbabe. I have enjoyed watching and keep reminding myself that I dont't need anything but that said.....I ordered the pastel ornament tree today from Valerie , the classic gingerbread ornaments, the curly ribbon picks which I had in white last year (loved) and the TSV!!!!

Last season I ordered a lot of picks that had so much glitter which got everywhere  that I ended up getting rid of them. They were awful.  The curly ribbons were lovely!

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

@mousiegirl  thank you for sharing that Valerie hopes to bring back more of the tree pillars....I did get one set in the frost, but I missed out on the midnight. I found the midnight to be beautiful because the design was so vivid against the dark background...but they sold out very quickly.  I’m sure that I will be very happy with the frost as I decorate in mostly white and metallics for the holidays.

I wasn't worried about being tempted. I'm happy with what I have. Besides, it's so early. Yeah, right. . . LOL!

I really like Valerie's decorations. I told my family I wanted to sit and watch the show today without interruption. That didn't happen. BUT I was able to watch last night.

Like you @bikerbabe and @traveler , I also got the green tree pillars. I also couldn't resist the deer with friends from last night. I got the gold angel just because I loved her. Today I bought the ornament wreath (classic). I have the perfect place for that. For once, I didn't get anything for anyone else - which I think is a first for me!

@VaBelle35  - I love your sleigh! I heard Valerie say there weren't many left of those. Smiley Happy

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

I did watch off and on throughout the day, but wasn't overly impressed with anything, at least not enough to buy.

I did pre order for November, several food items we get every year. Some of them I may change my mind on, but I wanted to get the orders in during the sale prices, and ebates had 5% off yesterday too, so I have several months to decide if I want to change my mind.

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

I liked the idea of the curly ribbon picks that she showed in the preview but the curly ribbon she had last year people were disappointed with as it didn't seem to curl like she showed, so I am waiting to see the reviews.

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

I purchased Valerie's "Bakery" Gingerbread cottage(missed out on it last year), Another of her snowflake scarf/tablerunner. Got one last year and wanted another one. I also purchased the Mr.Christmas "nutcracker" climber and one of the deer in Jane's show last night, in the champagne color because the pearl color sold out so fast. I plan to use hime beside a Santa figure I got at the after Christmas sales last year.

Re: CIJ thoughts and purchases

I love vintage decor, and ordered those little trucks with the deer, elf and Santa drivers.  But I have been working on decluttering for a couple of years, and do not need any Christmas decor...I have more than I need now.

So, cute as they are, I canceled my order.

Freed them up for someone else to enjoy!
