I love David but a cooking show in the middle of Christmas in July just ruins the Christmas excitement for me.  We go from ornaments and trees and beautiful lights and decoration to an oven or copper kettle.  Selling Christmas food is good and still in the Christmas spirit but the appliances and cooking products need to be on another day.  I get all settled, full  of Christmas excitement and then I have to watch a presentation on the copper kettle products.  Let’s keep Christmas in July reserved for ornaments and lights and Christmas decorations.  We can watch the appliances and pots and pans  on another day.

I have to agree with you!

I used to like In the Kitchen, but it just about bores me to tears anymore.

When they have a whole day beauty event or a whole day fashion event, they don't insert ANYTHING else into the programming that isn't of that category, and I don't understand why they can't do that with home and holiday events, but they always have to stick something in that doesn't really fit.

It would have been good if they featured Christmas dishes, towels, foods, and maybe decor for the kitchen in holiday themes.

The show featured many food items for the holidays with those specific shipping dates.

I understand what you're saying, but I think they have to break it up a little.

How many times and in how many ways can you present the same trees, wreaths, candles, and holiday figures?  I think that adding ITKWD brings something a little different to the mix.  I don't really watch his cooking show, but I do believe it normally airs Sundays and Wednesdays, right?  I guess instead of taking the show off the air for CIJ, they decided to incorporate a holiday feel to it.  He does have a devoted following.  I'm sure they would have been disappointed if it wasn't on.

Just guessing here -- Who knows? Smiley Happy
