Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Dishes

Did anyone see any of these this year?  I was at different Walmarts, but not as much as pre-covid, but I didn't see any, either old or new.

This one is caled Gibson

I do like the Better Homes and Gardens the best and also that you could buy them singly. I liked the ones that came out that first year the best!

@DecorDiva

There is another/older thread discussing this at:

Better Homes & Gardens Holiday Heritage dinnerware - Blogs & Forums (qvc.com)

I was just at Walmart this morning and not one holiday dish could be found.

My last post speculated that they've moved on from this pattern, but hope springs eternal.

They also have this online called Winter Botanicals by BH&G.  Prehaps this is taking the place of the Holiday Heritage pattern.

@Witchy Woman  - I do like the Winter Botanical pattern, especially the shallow, wide soup/salad bowls.  I do have quite a few of the Heritage dishes and serving pieces.  If you want a shock, look them up at Replacements to see how much they are charging for individual pieces.

@DecorDiva

I love that Botanical pattern, too.  However, I already have at least 2 sets of holiday dishes that go unused...and have away a set of Lenox Christmas cardinals some years back.

We no longer entertain like we did, so it seems silly to have more dishes that get stored.

Replacements is crazy with their pricing and, from what I hear, don't offer much for dishware they resell.

Nevertheless, if I had to have something, they've generally got it!

Re: Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Dishes

I have not been able to bring myself to go to Walmart lately.

In years past, this line came out quite late, relative to all the other Christmas stuff that started showing up usually right after school started. They always were even well past Thanksgiving before they would get them in and stocked.

I probably should go check, but my guess is that they either never got them here, or that they were gone within a day or so, as that has happened in the past. I kind of don't even care this year. I have so many of the dessert plates I don't even begin to know what to do with them. I have added serving pieces one or two each year, but can't even really get into doing that this year.

I hate going into Walmart at this time of the year. I didn't used to feel that way, but every year it gets worse for me!

I understand how you feel.  Unless I can get into the store before 7:30 a.m. I won't go.

I've been checking each time I do go in, and no holiday dishes of ANY kind to be found.  Pioneer Woman has some cute holiday pillows and some home decor items, but nothing I want to buy.

I'll continue to scan the stores when I get there, but those times will be less and less as Christmas draws near.

I'm almost relieved I haven't seen them as I just don't need another dish of any kind!

Re: Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Dishes

I haven't seen any of the BHG holiday dishes this year and I go to WM fairly frequently. That's good for me though. I have been downsizing all of my holiday decor this year - I've got way more than one person should have. I've been selling on Nextdoor and many of my customers are very approciative of getting some nice things at good prices.
