I received this today and installed it on a faux bush in my living room.  I love it!  it's too bad that these sold out so quickly.  It was a splurge puchase for me, but I was pretty sure that one strand would illuminate my bush because I only need to put lights on the front and sides as it's in a corner.  Luckily, one strand was perfect.

I tried all the settings and I really like the shimmer function.  It comes pretty close to replicating the random twinkle lights of 50 - 60 years ago.  I plan to leave the lights installed all the time even if I only use them for special occasions.

I somewhat wish I moved faster and had purchased the stake trees, too, but it's probably better that I didn't because I would have to find a place to store them.

@Kachina624, I will leave the lights on the bush year-round, but I won't turn them on except for special occasions or holidays.

Oh i could totally think of a color scheme even if non-motion but  lit for every month of the year and sometines changing twice one month or two. So fun. If i recall i think it even has orange, teal, and yellow lights i think.

@Marsha2003 Your tree looks really pretty.  I have a small faux pine tree in a pot I had bought a few years ago from Balsam Hill.  I have an older light strand of BL wrapped on mine and it looks lovely at night.  I have it set on the timer mode, batteries last quite a while.  Hope you enjoy it more than just on special occasions
