Re: A Remote for Microlights???

@mitzywhite I agree with @SHOPR. The TSV might be what you are looking for. I, for one, have a drawer full of remotes I never use. The timers are good for me because I would forget to turn my candles and fairy lights off at night.

@PA Mom-mom, I also have many remotes, with just the on and off buttons, that I never use.

I ordered 1 set of these BL light strands in clear/gold without watching any presentations.  I am hoping that with their multi-function remote, I can select 3-hour timer, just once, put the remote away, and let the timer do its thing until battery replacement time.

For me, I'll be basically just using the remote to set the shorter duration timer.  That's the plan.  Fingers crossed it works as expected, no defects, and long battery life.  If not, I will return them.

Re: A Remote for Microlights???

I did order several of the BL TSV with remotes.  I really like them!  I have many evenings where I don't have the time to sit in my living room admiring all the lights.  So, I can turn them on for an hour and then back off with a click of a button.  It's nice that the timers work well for those who don't have to worry about wasting batteries and have more time to enjoy all the pretty items, but for me, the remotes work better.

@mitzywhite - What items are you using microlights in? Could you switch to flameless candles or puck lights or another light source with a timer that meets your needs and/or has a remote control? I'm not a fan of the little points of light provided by microlights and prefer the more substantial glow provided by a single, stronger light source, so I've swapped in small flameless candles and puck lights in many of my candle holders and hurricanes. You can find several options at that rainforest retailer whose name starts with A at pretty good prices.

I am also one who does not like microlights.  They never seem to be seen equally on all sides of the vessels.  I also change out the little lights and use flameless candles!!!

Re: A Remote for Microlights???

I have spent a fortune on Lumanara candles to put inside several of my pillar candle holders that are mercury glass.  I even have the little tealight lumanara candles.  They left a dull lighting for me until I swapped out to the microlights and are much more brighter and sparkly.  With the new BL TSV that I got, they have like 8 different settings on them.  I only like the steddy on or there is a subtle twinkle that is really pretty in the faceted gem lantern (H215152) and the 9" faceted glass pillar (H221850) and the 7 1/2" faceted glass pillar (H212543).  I also have the Mercury glass hurricane footed embossed (H219571) and the Quilted Mercury glass (H219628) and the 8" Mercury Glass Hurricane (H216373).

But anyhow, my initial reason for my post was to see if there was any interest in Valerie adding a remote to her microlights that she provides with a lot of her items.  But it sounds like nobody is interested in that.
